Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam said that students and the public will occupy the streets throughout February and March to prevent conspiracies against the country.
He made this statement at the launch of the book 'July Uprising in Newspapers' written by journalist Ahmed Faiz at Bangla Academy on Wednesday (February 5) afternoon.
The information advisor said, "Awami League leaders and activists are creating fear and panic in India. However, there is no point in spreading panic. The students and people of the country were, are and will be on the streets."
He also said that diplomatic talks are underway to bring Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back to the country. India will be asked to clarify its position on this issue and provide accountability.
"If Sheikh Hasina carries out political activities while sitting in India, the Indian government will have to take responsibility for it. India has given her shelter, they have a statement on this, which we want to know," said Nahid Islam.
