Jasimuddin Iti Thakurgaon Correspondent BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's daughter, prominent medical scientist Dr. Shamaruh Mirza, and specialist Dr. Faham Abdus Salam were warmly welcomed in Thakurgaon.
A special program was organized at the Joynal Abedin Hall of Eco Social Development Organization (ESDO) this afternoon. The reception was given by ESDO Founder and Executive Director Dr. Muhammad Shahid Uz Zaman as the guest of honor.
In addition, the Thakurgaon Press Club, local leaders and public representatives, scouts, students of various educational institutions, and social and cultural organizations provided a reception.

Present at the event were district BNP acting president Mirza Faisal Amin, former principal of Thakurgaon Government College Monotosh Kumar Dey, president of Thakurgaon Press Club Lutfor Rahman Mithu, leaders and activists of various political, social and cultural organizations, and students from various educational institutions.
A physician by profession, Dr. Shamaruh has volunteered among culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Canberra, Australia. She is the co-founder of Sitara's Story, a volunteer and non-profit organization established in 2017.
On the other hand, Dr. Faham Abdus Salam, the young voice of the times, received the honor of Post Doctoral Fellow after earning his PhD from the Australian National University. His columns 'Probas Pinjar' and 'Swadesh Bihang' in the weekly Jaya Zaydin have gained immense popularity.
