Writer and online activist Pinaki Bhattacharya, who is based abroad, has called on Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus to remove Sheikh Mujib's portrait from all state institutions and to inspect secret detention centers.
In the post, he said, "In light of the dramatically changed situation since Wednesday afternoon, it is very important to take two decisions at today's cabinet meeting. First, the picture of Sheikh Mujib, a symbol of fascist misrule, and any kind of symbols must be removed from all Bangladesh government establishments in the country and abroad within the next 48 hours."
Secondly; Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, in consultation with victims and media workers, must make a firm decision to inspect the secret detention centers run by the military intelligence agency DGFI and RAB and fix the date and time to visit them - this must be announced in a press briefing today.
