Md. Dil, Sirajganj
Keeping in mind the slogan "Sports are power, sports are power", the annual sports competition, award distribution and cultural program have been organized by Victoria High School, a traditional school in Sirajganj.
Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nazrul Islam addressed the event as the chief guest at the Victoria High School grounds on Thursday (February 6) at 10 am, presided over by Headmaster Md. Sajedul Islam.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md. Rozina Akhter, District Education Officer (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Afsar Ali, and Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Eliza Sultana spoke as special guests.
Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nazrul Islam inaugurated the program by reciting the Holy Quran and Gita, hoisting the national flag and sports flag, torch procession, and releasing festoons and balloons.
Also present at the event were Managing Committee member Md. Nazmul Huda, Teacher Representative Md. Saiful Islam, Vice-Principal Teacher Md. Shafiqul Alam, Senior Teacher Mirza Golam Mostafa, Assistant Teacher Md. Rafiqul Islam, Physical Education Teacher Md. Rashidul Hasan and others.
The sports competitions included 600/400/200/100 minute races, shot put, high jump, rope jumping, musical chairs, etc.
After the games, prizes were distributed among the winners and a beautiful cultural program was organized.
