BGB has seized heroin and cocaine worth around 6.25 million taka in Nilphamari. On Wednesday (February 5) afternoon, BGB 56 Nilphamari Battalion searched a bus in front of Gate No. 1 near Darwani Textile Mill in the district headquarters and recovered the narcotics. This information was given at a press conference organized at the headquarters of 56 BGB Nilphamari Battalion around 5 pm.
At the press conference, BGB's Nilphamari Battalion Acting Commander Major Riyad Morshed said that based on secret information, a special check post was set up on the Nilphamari-Sayedpur road in front of Gate No. 1 of the BGB Battalion and a search was conducted on the Bismillah Paribahan (Tangal-J-11-0067) bus bound for Sayedpur from Domar. During this, 970 grams of heroin and 860 grams of cocaine were recovered from the bus without an owner. The estimated value of the bus is 62 lakh 40 thousand taka. The matter of filing a case in this regard is under process.
