The upazila administration provided assistance to a family whose house was burnt to ashes in Paschim Subidpur village of Nalchiti upazila of Jhalokati.
On Wednesday (January 5) at around noon, the upazila administration handed over corrugated iron sheets and blankets to the affected family.
It is worth mentioning that on December 31, at around 6 am, the house of Ayub Ali Howlader in that village caught fire due to an electrical short circuit and everything was burnt to ashes. The family suffered losses of at least 15 (fifteen) lakh taka, including the house, cash, gold ornaments and other belongings.
Currently, the family is living an inhumane life.
