The husband caught his wife in an objectionable state with her extramarital lover. Then the husband decided to marry his wife to her lover. Their wedding was arranged that night. Such an incident took place in Milonpur village of Bariya union in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila. After the incident came to light, there was a sensation in the area. According to local sources, Khorshed, a resident of Milonpur village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, had long suspected that his wife was involved in an affair with Anwar Hossain of the same village. But there was no evidence. As a result, he could not take any action regarding his wife and her lover. However, on Monday evening, Khorshed himself caught his wife red-handed in an 'objectionable' state with her extramarital lover Anwar. Later, he decided to marry his wife to Anwar. Khorshed married them that night with the locals. Local UP member Abdur Rouf said, 'Many arbitrations have been held in the area regarding Anwar and Khorshed's wives. But due to lack of evidence, no decision has been taken. This time Khorshed himself caught them and married them in front of everyone.
In this regard, Ward No. 7 UP member Mujibar said, 'The girl is from my area. I have been hearing about the incident. I came here to find out.' Responding to this, Union Parishad Acting Chairman Manu Ram Barman said, 'I am hearing about the matter, but whatever happened is good.'
Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station OC Shahidur Rahman said, "There is no information about the wife marrying off her lover. However, necessary action will be taken if a complaint is received."
