Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested a drug dealer named Md. Mominul Islam (45) in a raid in Brahmanpara, Comilla. He was arrested from the Saldanadi area bordering Shashidal Union of the upazila on Tuesday (January 4) morning. During this, six kilograms of Indian ganja in a bag was seized from him.
The arrested person is Md. Mominul Islam, son of the deceased Rafiq Ullah of LN Mills area of Narayanganj district headquarters.
According to BGB sources, the operation was conducted based on secret information. The operation was conducted by BGB members of Saldanadi BOP of Sultanpur Battalion (60 BGB).
Sultanpur Battalion (60 BGB) Commander Lieutenant Colonel A. M. Jaber Bin Jabbar (PSC, AC) said that the seized drugs and bags along with the accused have been handed over to Bahmanpara Police Station in Comilla district for legal action.
