The Public Administration and Judicial Reform Commission will submit its report to Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Wednesday.
Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, said that two commissions formed for the purpose of state reform will submit their reports to the Chief Advisor tomorrow. These two commissions are the Public Administration Reform Commission and the Judiciary Reform Commission. He said that the reports have already been finalized.
It is worth noting that earlier on January 15, the Election Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission, Police, and the Constitutional Reform Commission submitted reports to the Chief Advisor.
After the fall of Sheikh Hasina on August 5, a month and three days after the formation of the interim government, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus announced the formation of six much-discussed specific commissions for institutional reforms in his address to the nation on September 11. Among them, SUJON (Citizens for Good Governance) Secretary Badiul Alam Majumder was appointed as the head of the Election Commission. Former Public Administration and Home Secretary Safar Raj Hossain is the head of the Police Reform Commission, former Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman is the head of the Commission formed to reform the Judiciary, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman is the head of the Commission formed to reform the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), former advisor to the caretaker government Abdul Muyid Chowdhury is the head of the Commission formed to reform the Public Administration, and Professor Dr. Ali Riaz is the head of the Constitutional Reform Commission.
