Former central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Nangalkot Lalmai Sadar South Development Council Chairman Maulana Yasin Arafat said that Maulana Abdus Sattar was a patriotic, wise educationist, thinker and social worker. The founder of numerous institutions, this Islamic thinker and philosopher played a unique role in the welfare of the area. He prayed for the forgiveness of his soul and urged everyone to work for the welfare of the country and nation like the deceased.
Mr. Arafat made the above remarks in his speech as the chief guest at a discussion and prayer program organized by the 'Maulana Abdus Sattar Foundation' at the Sabuj Chhaya Restaurant on Topkhana Road in the capital yesterday afternoon to commemorate the 6th death anniversary of Maulana Abdus Sattar, father of Bangladesh Labor Party Chairman Hamdullah Al Mehdi and former principal of Laksham Azgra Haji Altaf Ali High School and College.
The meeting was chaired by Maulana Abdus Sattar Foundation Vice President Maulana Qari Kabi Khandaker Shahidul Haque.
