Another devotee, Amir Hossain (65), has died at the Bishwa Ijtema on the banks of Turag in Tongi in Gazipur. With this, the death toll from the Ijtema has reached 7.
It is learned that Amir Hossain's home is in Muksudpur area of Gopalganj. He died at 31 Khitta around 11 pm on Monday. His funeral was held after Fajr prayers in the morning.
Meanwhile, the sermon has started after the Fajr prayers on Tuesday. Devotees are spending their time in worship and devotion in various places. Guests from abroad are also engaged in zikir and askar.
Religious people from at least 22 districts across the country have participated in this phase of the Ijtema. The second phase of the event will conclude with the final prayer tomorrow. After that, the Ijtema of Sadists will be held from February 14-16.
