Pirgachha (Rangpur) Representative –
Shah Md. Nure Alam Siddiqui, General Secretary Mokarul Islam, elected as President of Chawla Union BNP in Pirgachha, Rangpur
and Organizing Secretary Mahmudul Hasan Mamun were elected. The election was held without interruption from 2 pm to 4 pm on Monday (February 3) at the Girls' High School Hall of Chhaola Union of the upazila. 459 voters from 9 wards voted for their preferred candidates in the election. Upazila BNP convener Aminul Islam Ranga announced the results after the voting. Upazila BNP member secretary Khandaker Matiar Rahman served as the commissioner in the election. Out of 459 votes, Shah Md. Nur Alam Siddiqui won the election as president with 217 votes for the umbrella symbol, General Secretary Mokarul Islam won the election as president with 189 votes for the football symbol, and Mahmudul Hasan Mamun won the election as organizing secretary with 173 votes for the fish symbol. The election was attended by District BNP Senior Joint Convener Afsar Ali, Upazila BNP Joint Convener Shariful Islam Dalej, Zakir Ahmed, Abdul Mannan Sardar, Abdus Salam Azad Jewel, Member Azad Hossain, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Abdul Alim Alam, Joint Convener Sabbir Ahmed, Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Lokman Hossain, Joint Convener Imtiaz Uddin Setu, Salman Alam, Upazila Student Leaders Babu, Sohel, Johns, Shakil Ahmed, Shakil, Pirgachha Sadar Union Chhatra Dal President Rakib Hasan Prantik, etc. Thousands of eager people from all walks of life, including BNP leaders and activists at the district, upazila, union, and ward levels, as well as leaders and activists of BNP's affiliated organizations, were present. A workers' conference was held at 10 am before the election with candidates and voters.
