Former Home Minister Lutfuzzaman Babar has fallen ill. He has been admitted to a Dubai hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment in the emergency department. He was admitted to the Dubai hospital at around 11:30 pm local time on Thursday (January 30).
Babar's former private secretary Abdus Salam Prince confirmed this information on Friday.
Former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar was released on January 16 after spending 17 years in prison. While in prison, he fell ill several times and sought treatment at the hospital.
Abdus Salam Prince said that former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar left Dhaka on an Emirates Airlines flight on Thursday (January 30) afternoon with his wife, two daughters and son.
The plane arrived in Dubai around 10:30 pm local time. Babar felt chest pain on the plane. Later, after landing at the airport, he was admitted to a Dubai hospital.
The BNP leader said that his father's wife and children have left for Saudi Arabia.
