With the aim of ensuring that a poor person can fast properly throughout the entire month of Ramadan, the voluntary organization 'Pirgachha Alor Kafila' has distributed food items to more than 150 poor people.
The food items were distributed in Anantaram (Uchapara) village of Sadar Union of the upazila on Saturday morning. Rice, pulses, oil, salt, potatoes, onions, boots, muri, eggs, flour, and dates were distributed to a very poor fasting person.
After receiving these food items, everyone returned home happily. The extremely poor Rajeka, Amena, Zaheda, Alim Uddin expressed their gratitude to the people involved in the 'Pirgachha Alor Kafila' and expressed their resolve to pray and make dua.
Rezaul Karim Rocket, general secretary of Pirgachha Alo Kafila, said that food items are being distributed to those who cannot afford to buy food during the month of Ramadan. He expressed gratitude to those who have helped the Alo Kafila in various ways.
'Pirgachha Alor Kafila' President Mostafizur Rahman Ripon said, "This area was once full of gambling and drugs. We have been able to bring it to a tolerable level. Our main goal is to prevent everyone from all bad deeds and cooperate in good deeds. With that goal in mind, food items have been distributed to more than 150 poor people so that they can fast properly in honor of the fasting people." Abdur Rahim, the publicity secretary of Alor Kafila, and many others were present at the time.
