Shahiduzzaman Shimul, Satkhira: A woman committed suicide after killing her husband over a family dispute in Jhaudanga, Satkhira Sadar Upazila.
The shocking incident took place on Thursday (February 27) night in a rented house in Boalia village of Jhaudanga union in Sadar upazila.

The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam Azad (45) and his wife Nazmin (30). Abul Kalam Azad was a resident of Kashiadanga village under Kalaroa police station and was a cloth merchant.
Eyewitnesses said that due to a family dispute, the younger wife Nazmin first killed her husband Abul Kalam Azad. Then she wrote a note and hanged herself. The note read, "I finished something. I am killing in 2.31 minutes, now I am also dying. Even if I am alone, I will not survive, because Sharmin and her family will finish me off. So we both died. Now you make a good family. No one else will bother you. My son will suffer, but even then I caused everyone pain for Kalam. Still, he caused me pain, you devil."
After Nazmin's murder, Abul Kalam wrote on Azad's chest with a pen - "Sorry, I love you." Later, he committed suicide himself.
Locals said that Abul Kalam Azad had two wives. However, he did not have a good relationship with his elder wife Sharmin. The younger wife Nazmin called her elder wife Sharmin demanding to live together. But it is believed that the incident happened out of anger as Sharmin did not agree.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaminul Haque said, "Police have reached the spot. I am also going there myself. The incident has created a sensation in the area. The police have recovered the body and are in the process of sending it to the Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed."
