The Bangladesh Samata Party has protested against the growing anarchy, looting, extortion and occupation syndicates in Bangladesh. The party organized a protest rally in front of the Dhaka National Press Club at 10 am on Thursday (February 27).
The rally was presided over by Bangladesh Samata Party convener Hanif Bangladeshi and moderated by member secretary Jamal Uddin Russell.
The speakers included; Harunor Rashid Khan, researcher Kalam Faizi, Sheikh Nasir, Chamiul Alam Rasu, Shamsuddin Rakib, Delwar Hossain, Harun Rashid, Akhter Hosne, Rahim Chowdhury, Mokhlesur Rahman, Liza Rahman, Mika Rahman, Saurav Hossain Belal and other central leaders.
Speakers at the rally complained, "Although many students and the public lost their lives in the July 2024 movement, their main goal, establishing a society without discrimination, has not been realized even today. Rather, anarchy, occupation, extortion and crime trends have increased in the country. They claimed that the lives of ordinary people are being severely disrupted due to political instability and the deterioration of the law and order situation."
Welcoming the army chief's recent statement, the speakers said, "The army must play a more effective role in resolving the ongoing crisis in the country."
The recent political situation in Bangladesh has also raised concerns in international circles, with the United Nations, the European Union, and international human rights organizations calling for good governance and stability in the country.
