A workshop titled 'Understanding Climate Change and Climate Finance: National and International Perspective' was held at the central auditorium of the university, organized by the FES, GEE and CEE departments of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and in collaboration with Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation.
The event was held at the central auditorium of Shabiprobi on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12 noon, with the head of the FES department, Professor Dr. Romel Ahmed, in the chair and the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, as the chief guest. The special guests were the Chairman of BEPRC, Senior Secretary Mohammad Wahid Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sajedul Karim, Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain. The keynote speaker was Dr. Fazle Rabbi Siddique Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation. Also present as a discussant was Professor Dr. Farhana Raihan, FES department. Also present were Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahidur Rahman, Head of CEE department, and Dr. Anwarul Islam, Head of GEE department.
