Navaran Highway Police held a public awareness rally to restore order on the highway at Navaran Highway Police Station in the Khulna-Jashore region.
(February 27) On Thursday morning, with the cooperation of the local people including the Benapole Bazar Committee, they took initiatives to control illegal three-wheelers on the highway, prevent road accidents, reduce traffic congestion, stop illegal parking, and evict illegal shops adjacent to the highway.
During this campaign, Highway Police officials spoke directly to locals and raised awareness about road safety. Drivers, shopkeepers, and pedestrians on the highway were warned to obey traffic laws and avoid the risk of accidents.
Local businessmen and pedestrians have applauded and praised the initiative of the Navaran Highway Police, Officer-in-Charge Rokonuzzaman Rokon K. The businessmen are hopeful that if such initiatives continue, order will be maintained on the highway and the common people will be able to move safely.
Those concerned believe that regular implementation of such public awareness programs will not only restore order on the highway but also reduce accidents.
Navaran Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rokonuzzaman Rokon said, "Navaran Highway Police Station is always working to maintain order on the highway, prevent road accidents and increase public awareness. Our drive to control illegal three-wheeler movement on the highway, reduce traffic congestion, remove illegal parking and evict illegal shops built on sidewalks and roadsides will continue. We are grateful for the cooperation of the local people and the market committee in today's activity. With everyone's combined efforts, it will be possible to reduce road accidents and ensure safe highways."
Present at the event were Rokonuzzaman Rokon, Officer-in-Charge of Navaran Highway Police Station, Md. Abu Taleb, President of Benapole Bazar Committee, Senior Vice-President Md. Nur Islam, General Secretary Rezaul Karim Reza, Joint General Secretary Md. Tufan Morl, and all the traders of Benapole Bazar, including pedestrians.
