Netrakona Representative:
The joint forces have arrested two drug peddlers along with 600 pieces of Yaba in Madan, Netrokona. The arrested Jahan Mia (27) and Lizan Mia (23) are the sons of the deceased Inchan Mia of Alamshri village of the upazila. According to police sources, they are brothers and known drug peddlers of the area.
Based on a secret information, a team of police and the Narcotics Control Department led by Madan Army Camp Commander Captain Tahmidul Alam Nomane conducted a raid at their village house late on Wednesday night and arrested them. During the search, 600 pieces of Yaba, cash worth 1 lakh 78 thousand 400 taka, 3 Android and 2 Batan mobile phones, 12 SIM cards and 3 memory cards were seized. Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the Narcotics Control Department in Netrakona.
Netrakona Narcotics Control Department Inspector Al Amin confirmed the truth of the incident and said that a case was registered against them under the Narcotics Act and they were arrested and sent to court on Thursday.
