The monthly meeting of the Upazila Law and Order Committee was held in Saltha, Faridpur. The meeting was organized by the Upazila administration on Thursday (February 27) at 11:30 am in the hall room of the Upazila Parishad.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Anisur Rahman Bali presided over the meeting, while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Masum Billah was present.
Among others present were Krishna Chandra Barman, Principal of Saltha Government College, Maruf Hasan, Investigation Officer (OC) of Saltha Police Station, Monir Molla, Senior Vice President of Saltha Press Club, etc. Also present were officials from various departments and heads of various schools and colleges.
In the president's speech, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Anisur Rahman Bali said, "Everyone should be vigilant so that they do not spread rumors and create anarchy in the country. If anyone tries to create chaos and such an incident occurs, I request everyone to immediately inform the law enforcement agencies." He further said, "He called on everyone, including local public representatives and heads of educational institutions, to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies in order to improve law and order, prevent drug abuse and violence against women and children, child marriage and conflicts, prevent rumors and militancy through social media, and ensure 100 percent student attendance in all educational institutions in the upazila."
