In Faridpur's Charbhadrasan, the Upazila administration and the Fisheries Department, on the initiative of the Department of Fisheries, destroyed 1500 meters of current and 50 meters of nets in a fire and 5 criminals were convicted under Section 188 of the Penal Code, 1860, by Charbhadrasan Upazila Government Commissioner Nishat Farabi on February 26 at 3 pm.

The convicted are: 1. Zahir, father: Abul
2. Noor Islam Father: Rokan Ali
3. Benu's father: Taher
4. Ruhul Amin Father: Rustam Ali
5. Ebadad's father, Chabed Ali, was from Arai Hazara, Narayanganj.
Executive Magistrate Nishat Farabi sentenced him to 15 days' imprisonment in a mobile court after he was found guilty of the crime under Section 188 of the Penal Code, 1860.
In this regard, District Fisheries Officer Prashant Kumar Saha told media personnel that a continuous campaign will be conducted against those who kill hilsa in Jhatka. The Fisheries Department administration is vigilant in developing hilsa resources and seeks everyone's cooperation in remaining vigilant in this regard.
