Md. Elias Sunny, Tajumuddin (Bhola) Representative
In Bhola's Tajumuddin, an allegation has been received that a madrasa gate was broken into at night, a robbery was committed, and important documents were set on fire after being stolen. Police inspected the scene in the morning. The madrasa authorities said they will take legal action.

Sources said that unknown thieves broke into the Madrasa of Purba Golakpur Kachimul Alim Madrasa in the upazila on Tuesday night by breaking the gate. At that time, the unknown thieves broke the library's money and took away the coaching cash of 20/25 thousand taka in the drawer and threw all the important documents including the madrasa's teacher appointment papers, students' certificates, mark sheets and registration cards in the cupboard on the floor of the library and set them on fire. The night watchman, who got up to offer Fajr prayers, saw the fire and managed to extinguish it after much effort. All the important documents were burnt to ashes immediately. It is believed that the miscreants started the fire out of revenge.
When asked, the madrasa's night watchman, Md. Ruhul Amin, said, "I was sleeping in a room under the madrasa building at night. In the morning, when I got up to offer Fajr prayers, I saw the front gate open and went upstairs to see the library unlocked and a fire burning inside. Later, after much effort, I extinguished the fire. Immediately, all the important documents of the madrasa were burnt."
Madrasa principal Mao. Md. Ayub Ali said, "We are in Chittagong on an educational trip. After hearing about the theft in the madrasa, we are returning to Tajumuddin instead of going to Bandarban. The coaching cash of 20/25 thousand taka was kept for the teachers in the madrasa. The unknown thieves took that money and set fire to all the important documents of the madrasa."
Tajumuddin Police Station SI Masum said, "A police team has visited the spot after hearing about the incident. The madrasa authorities will file a written complaint and take legal action."
When the Upazila Secondary Education Officer (OSEO) was called, he did not answer the call, so his statement could not be taken.
