A woman named Josna Begum (55) was killed after being run over by a passenger bus in Palashbari, Gaibandha.
The accident took place on Wednesday morning, February 26, at Matherhat on the regional highway in Palashbari-Gaibandha. The deceased was Josna Begum (50), wife of Meher Ali of Par Amlagachhi village. Palashbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zulfiqar Ali said that the woman died when she was hit by a passenger bus of Alif Paribahan while crossing the road. The bus has been seized with the help of local residents and RAB and kept in the custody of the police station. Preparations are underway to file a case.
