On August 4 last year, during the anti-discrimination student movement in Sylhet, Banijya and his brother-in-law Jubo League cadre Syed Nahidur Rahman Sabbir were rushed to save from the case filed against them for various crimes including attacks and shootings during the student movement against discrimination in Sylhet. Along with this, a false case was filed by him pretending to be an influential leader of the metropolitan BNP, and Banijya has already filed charges against him in that case. BNP has also issued a show cause notice in this regard. The person who has created so many allegations is Syed Rahim Ali Rasu, the general secretary of Ward No. 24 of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP and the co-organizing secretary of the metropolitan BNP.
Now, there are allegations that his uncle-in-law is occupying his house, and if he wants to leave, Rasu and Sabbir will have to pay half a crore taka. Otherwise, Shala Dulabhai is reluctant to leave the house of his uncle-in-law, who lives in the UK.

He made these allegations at a press conference on Tuesday (February 24) afternoon.
Syed Habibur Rahman Shafiq said at the press conference that he allowed his nephew to stay at home while his family was in the UK. Now that nephew is threatening not to leave the house unless he pays half a crore taka.
He said that five years ago, their family assets were divided. At that time, at the request of his nephew, Syed Nahidur Rahman Sabbir, son of the late Syed Muhibur Rahman Sharif, he was allowed to stay at home. He is an identified Jubo League cadre. Before returning to London, he had promised to deposit the rent collected and Sabbir's rent money in his bank account. But he did not do so. After almost five years, when he returned to the country in January, he found out that he had also embezzled the house rent money. Sabbir is currently 13/14T is a fugitive accused in a terrorist case. He cannot stay at home, but to keep the house occupied, he took his sister and her husband Rasu into hiding. After contacting him, in late January, he served a notice to the tenants to vacate the house and told Sabbir and his sister's family to leave the house, but he started making various excuses.
Despite repeated attempts to mediate through his relatives, there was no avail. Instead, he demanded a ransom of 5.3 million taka from Shafiq. When he refused to pay the ransom, Sabbir said 50/60 He has to build a house for 10 lakh taka. He did not agree, but instead, another brother of his expatriate offered to give him 3 million taka as his nephew. But Sabbir refused and said that he would not give up possession of the house.
Shafiq said that he has been spending his days at relatives' houses after leaving his home. He is often followed by unknown and suspicious people. Since Sabbir is a terrorist, he also expressed his fear that he could cause him great harm at any time.
He said that the responsibility of Sabbir's father and other siblings fell on his shoulders at a very young age. He has established them with his hard-earned money throughout his life. He set up a shop in Madhuban Super Market by investing about 1.45 million taka. Sabbir's father bought several plots or lands in different places with the income from that shop, but he was not given a single penny. Five years ago, he spent 6 lakh taka to build a house to accommodate 6 families in the house, but he has not received a single penny yet. Sabbir has embezzled all the money. Fearing for his safety, he filed a general diary (GD) with the Shahparan police station of the Sylhet Metropolitan Police on February 22.
Syed Habibur Rahman Shafiq urged Sabbir and his sister's family members to immediately vacate the house. He also sought the intervention of the Sylhet police administration, especially the Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner, to free the house from occupation.
Syed Nahidur Rahman Sabbir's mobile phone was called to inquire about his statement on this matter, but he did not answer. And his cousin Rasu said, "He is my uncle-in-law, but I have been calling him uncle since childhood. I have no dispute with him, why should I stay with my family in his house when I have my own house? This is not true at all." He said, a case is going on in the High Court regarding this house. Their (uncle-in-law's) family dispute has been going on for a long time.
