"Some people are trying to lead the country into anarchy by unjustly agitating the people."
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
He made the remarks at a discussion organized by BNP in memory of the martyred army officers at Peelkhana at the IEB auditorium in Ramna on Tuesday (February 25).

Mirza Fakhrul said, "Today, there are attempts to destabilize the country by raising various questions. But we want democracy to be established and fair and impartial elections to be held."
He also said, "I would like to urge the head of the interim government to run the government with a strong hand. So that no one can say that you are being biased."
The BNP Secretary General alleged, "Sheikh Hasina is plotting by taking refuge in Delhi. She is trying to thwart the victory of the mass uprising and destabilize the country again."
He added, "We hope that the interim government formed through the student-people's revolution will fulfill the people's expectations."
Mirza Fakhrul said, "Some people are spreading false propaganda targeting BNP. They want to discredit BNP, because BNP has played a role in protecting the country's independence and sovereignty in the past and will continue to do so in the future."
He called on the countrymen, saying, "We will bring back the country's democracy at any cost. Let us take an oath today - we will remain united in protecting independence and sovereignty."
