Joint Secretary General of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and President of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Principal Hafez Maulana Sheikh Fazle Bari Masood and Secretary Maulana Muhammad Ariful Islam said in a joint statement sent to the media on the occasion of 'National Martyrs' Day' that the BDR killings were carried out on the prescription of the neighboring country to make the country insecure.
The previous autocratic government systematically killed the brave army officers who had dedicated their lives for the country and gave the name of BDR mutiny. Even after so many years, the people of the country do not know the reason behind the Peelkhana massacre. Therefore, they have not seen any visible judicial process. But even after the change of August 5, there was an opportunity to try the real culprits, the current responsible people have not been able to show the nation any effective steps. The people's desire for the interim government is to quickly bring those involved in the Peelkhana massacre to justice. At the same time, resolve the current deterioration of the law and order situation in the country. Find a long-term solution through specific programs without delay.
The leaders also said that a special group is engaged in a deep conspiracy to disrupt the government and public life by deteriorating law and order. If the ongoing joint operation fails to arrest them, the interim government will be in trouble.
