Nahid Islam submitted his resignation to the Chief Advisor at an emergency meeting of the Advisory Council at the Chief Advisor's residence on Tuesday, according to sources in the Chief Advisor's office.
Meanwhile, Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, posted a status on his verified Facebook page regarding the issue.
He shared a picture with advisor Nahid Islam and wrote, 'Last day in the government with colleagues, fellow warriors. Good luck on your future journey.'
