Paikgachha representative
The body of a mentally unstable man was found hanging in Paikgachha. Police recovered the body from the scene on Monday morning and sent it to Khumek Hospital for an autopsy.
Khairul Alam, in-charge of the Raruli Camp Police of the upazila, said that the locals informed the police after a foul smell emanated from the house of Haju Ghosh (65), son of the deceased Bishtupada Ghosh, in Banka Ghoshpara village. Upon receiving the information, Haju Ghosh's half-decayed hanging body was recovered from the spot.
Since the body was partially decomposed, it is natural to assume that Haju Ghosh could have committed suicide by hanging himself with a veil at his home in Tinsad at any time two or three days ago. Haju was mentally unstable. He has no family except his only daughter. His daughter was also out of the area at the time of the incident. The recovered body has been sent for autopsy, said OC Sabzel Hossain.
