A meeting with farmers was organized by Birahim IAPP Agricultural Cooperative Society in Pirgachha, Rangpur. (February 22) In the afternoon, a meeting with small and marginal farmers was organized by Birahim IAPP Agricultural Cooperative Society in Parul Union of the upazila with the support of Sara Bangla Krishak Society.
The meeting was chaired by SBKS Founder Treasurer Azizar Rahman and moderated by SBKS Agribusiness Promotion Officer Ahedul Haque. The event was attended by Saifur Rahman, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rashedul Islam, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Project, Rangpur Division, Rural Finance Access Project Field Facilitator, Sohanur Rahman, President of Birahim IAPP Agricultural Cooperative Society Mokshedul Islam, General Secretary Nur-Nnabi, SBKS Executive Member Morsheda Begum, etc.
At the event, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Saifur Rahman said, "We gave importance to the organization-based extension services for farmers. After the exchange of views, we inspected the vegetable seed production of the All Bengal Farmers' Society and the Agricultural Research Institute as technical assistance partners, the solar-powered irrigation management and the two-story vegetable cultivation project developed on a partnership basis at the farmer level through the All Bengal Farmers' Society. About two hundred farmers, including other officials of the Department of Agriculture, were present at the time.
