A robbery incident occurred in the Madhur Bazar Road area of Sapahar Upazila of Naogaon at midnight by stopping BRTC buses, microbuses and several freight trucks by planting trees on the road. Last Saturday (February 22) night
The incident took place around 11:30 am. Local residents said that a tree was cut down on the road and a road barricade was erected.

Everyone was shocked to see the courage of this organized gang of robbers. Local residents said that robberies occasionally occur on this road.
When asked about the robbery, local residents and the police on duty at Sapahar police station said that it is actually a very wide road. The BRTC bus was heading towards Sapahar when the robbers threw trees on the road and committed the robbery. The Sapahar police said that the amount of goods looted will be known after investigation.
Before the police reached the spot, the robbers had fled with the goods. In this regard, Sapahar Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Md. Abdul Malek said, "We are investigating the entire incident. We hope that it will be possible to bring them under the law as soon as possible." It is worth noting that there has been panic among the people on the roads since the incident.
In such a situation, they are suffering from insecurity of life and property. To prevent such incidents from happening again, the local residents have demanded that the police be strengthened to patrol the risky roads at night. Along with this, the local residents and road users have called on the law enforcement agencies to be more vigilant.
