On Friday, February 21, 2025, under the leadership of Bangladesh Ganmukti Party convener MA Alim Sarkar, party leaders and activists paid tribute at the Central Shaheed Minar on the occasion of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.
In a statement after paying tribute, MA Alim Sarkar said, "The unity of language and culture is necessary. The Bengali language is not just a medium of communication; it is a symbol of our identity, culture and independence. On this day, we are committed to spreading the message of deep love for language among all. Keeping this unwavering foundation of our culture, history and national unity in mind, the Bangladesh Ganamukti Party firmly declares that we will always fight for respect for language, against caste discrimination and social injustice."
"Mother Language Day is a priceless chapter in our history, which is an inspiration for our national consciousness and unity. By celebrating this day, we want to inform the next generation about the importance and value of this tradition." Although it has been 54 years since the establishment of the independent state of Bangladesh, the introduction of the Bengali language has not been started at all levels of the law, justice and administration departments. The Bangladesh Ganmukti Party demands from the interim government that the introduction of Bengali be implemented at all levels, including the law, justice and administration departments.
