The largest Jumma congregation in history was held at Charmonai Mahfil. Every year, millions of Muslims gather at Charmonai Maidan on the banks of the Kirtankhola River in Barisal for the Mahfil in the month of Falgun.
Charmonai holds two mahfils every year, in the months of Agrahayan and Falgun. This three-day mahfil is attended by devotees and followers of Charmonai from remote areas of Bangladesh, as well as Muslims from various foreign countries.
Muslims from remote areas of Barisal division started coming to offer Friday prayers at the Mahfil Maidan since morning. The Friday prayer congregation began at 2.15 pm. The five designated grounds were filled to the brim with Muslims who came to listen to the Mahfil and offer Friday prayers.
The main activities of the Mahfil began on Wednesday, 19/2/2025, with the opening speech after Zuhr. And on Saturday, 22/2/2025, the three-day Charmonair Mahfil will end with the final prayer after Fajr prayers.
This year, many foreign guests, including prominent Bangladeshi Islamic figures, arrived at the Charmonair Mahfil.
