Moulvibazar celebrated the great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day-2025 with due dignity. In the first hour of Ekushey, people from all walks of life gathered at the Shaheed Minar to pay floral tribute to the language martyrs. At this time, the timeless song "Amar Bhaiyer Rokte Rangano Ekushey February, Ami Ki Bhulite Pari" (My brother's blood-stained Ekushey February, can I forget it) began to play, and the Shaheed Bedi was filled with flowers.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Mossammd Shahina Rahman was the first to pay tribute at the Shaheed Minar on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner.
Then, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bulbul Ahmed, Superintendent of Police KM Jahangir Hossain, Additional District Magistrate Tanvir Hossain, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Taj Uddin and various administrative and political figures paid tribute one by one. District BNP convener Faizul Karim Mayun, member secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon and former general secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Swagat Kishore Das Chowdhury and party leaders and activists also remembered the martyrs.
In addition, Moulvibazar Press Club, District BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Krishak Dal, Fire Service, Public Health Engineering Department, Roads and Highways Department, LGED, Power Development Board, Water Development Board, Public Works Department, Sadar Hospital, Agricultural Extension Department, Youth Development Department, various educational institutions, government and non-government organizations, political, social, cultural and professional organizations, and media workers paid tribute.
On the occasion of the great Ekushey February, the district administration organized various day-long programs, where various activities including discussions, meetings, cultural programs were held. Moulvibazar was enveloped in an emotional atmosphere throughout the day in memory of the martyrs.
