Under the theme "Milk, Meat, Leather, Cow Raising", 6 cows have been distributed among 6 families in Gopalpur, Tangail, with the financial support of Bangladesh NGO Foundation and the implementation of Usha, the In Search of a Better Life, to make low-income people self-reliant.
The cows were distributed in front of the organization's Gopalpur office on Friday (February 21) morning in search of a better life.
In this, the program was inaugurated by former Upazila Mayor Khandaker Jahangir Alam Rubel, who was moderated by Assistant Teacher of Nayapara Government Primary School Md. Jamil Hossain and chaired by Executive Director of Gopalpur Branch Md. Ibrahim Khalil in search of a better life. The chief guest was Deputy General Manager (Program) of Bangladesh NGO Foundation Md. Mostafa Kamal Bhuiyan. The main speaker was Kh. A. Mannan Memorial High School Headmaster Md. Akubar Hossain. Lecturer of Meherunnesa College Md. Ashraf Ali, Joint Secretary of Upazila BNP Alamgir Hossain, Organizing Secretary of Pur BNP Md. Ripon Mia, President of Auto Rickshaw, Van Sramik Union Gopalpur Upazila Branch Md. Yusuf Ali, among others.
The organizers claim that since 2008, they have provided financial assistance to 65 people, wheelchairs to 4 people, catchers to 18 people, computer training to 10 people, 220 goats, 82 sewing machines, and 6 cows to the poor and needy free of cost.
