Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, paid tribute by placing flowers at the National Martyrs' Monument in memory of language martyrs on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.
He paid his respects by placing flowers at the Shaheed Minar in the early hours of Friday (February 21). After placing the flowers, the chief advisor left the Shaheed Minar.
Earlier, President Md. Shahabuddin paid tribute to the language martyrs by placing flowers at the Shaheed Minar. He placed flowers at the Shaheed Minar at 12:02. After placing flowers, he left the Shaheed Minar at 12:03.
At this time, the President was welcomed by Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan and Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed.
