Durjoy Ahmed was seriously injured and lost his eyesight during the anti-discrimination student movement against the fascist government on July 20. In the wake of this, he filed a case at the Badda Police Station in the capital.
But the accused in the case are still at large. Durjoy Ahmed released a video message, drawing the attention of the administration, including the chief advisor, legal advisor, to bring them under the law and bring them to justice.
He told reporters, "I lost my eyesight in the movement. Even then, my attackers have not been brought to justice yet. Among the accused in the complaint, Bidyut Ghosh and Kabir Ahmed are often sending people to my house and threatening me to withdraw the case. Now they are threatening to kill me because I am not withdrawing the case."
He further said, "I am drawing the attention of the Chief Advisor and the Law and Order Rahini. The accused in the complaint, including Bidyut Ghosh and Kabir Ahmed, should be quickly arrested and brought to justice through Operation Devil Hunt conducted against Awami fascists."
Durjoy Ahmed's statement revealed that Kabir Ahmed Khan and Bidyut Ghosh and their forces carried out a terrorist attack during the anti-discrimination student movement. Durjoy was injured in their gunfire.
Both of his eyes are now damaged by the bullet. He is blind forever.
It is learned that the injured Md. Durjoy Ahmed has filed a case against 50-60 people including autocratic Sheikh Hasina at Badda Police Station. Kabir Ahmed and Bidyut Ghosh have been named as one of the accused in the case. The case statement states that on the morning of July 20, in order to suppress the student-public movement, they opened fire indiscriminately at the students protesting at the head of the Post Office alley below the Madhyabadda Yuloop with illegal weapons.
Durjoy was blinded in both eyes by the bullets fired by the accused. He also suffered a head injury. In this case, Kabir Ahmed has been named as the financial provider and Bidyut Ghosh as the weapons supplier.
Investigations have revealed that there are multiple cases against these two accused for various scams including embezzlement of widow's money, forgery, fraud, and money laundering.
