Two drug dealers arrested in Lohagara, Narail. Police have arrested two drug dealers in Lohagara Upazila of Narail in a raid conducted based on secret information. Ujjwal Roy, district representative from Narail, said that they were arrested from the paved road next to Mukul Sheikh's house in Itna Union of the upazila around 7:30 pm on Tuesday (February 18).
The arrested are Baijid Sikder (22), son of the late Habib Sikder of Itna village, and Shariful Molla (35), son of Mannan Molla.
A special team of Lohagara Police Station conducted the operation. The operation was led by SI (retd) Sumon Howlader and SI (retd) Md. Rabiul Islam. More police members participated with them. During the operation, 20 pieces of Yaba were recovered from the accused.
A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been registered at Lohagara Police Station in this incident and the accused have been sent to court.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station Md. Ashiqur Rahman said that the police's special campaign to eradicate drugs will continue and strict action will be taken against drug dealers.
