Bangladesh Islami Bank, Trishal branch officials have personally provided a grant of Tk 95,000 for the treatment of an injured student of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University. Senior officials of the bank handed over the donation to the vice-chancellor of the university on the morning of February 18 (Tuesday).
It is learned that on the night of February 5, Shah Jalal Ahmed Joni, a student of the 2020-21 session of the University's Fine Arts Department, who was involved in the anti-discrimination student movement, fell from a height of about 20 feet and was seriously injured while breaking the name plate of Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall. The officials of the Islami Bank Trishal branch provided a donation of 95,000 taka from their personal funds for the treatment of the injured student.

Islami Bank's EVP and Mymensingh Zone Head Abdul Kader Sardar and Islami Bank Trishal Branch Head Md. Anwar Hossain Fuad handed over the donation to the Vice Chancellor of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam. University Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Zainul Abedin Siddiqui, Acting Registrar Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Islami Bank Trishal Branch Manager (Operation) Md. Abdul Awal, PO Ansarul Islam, prominent businessman Abu Faisal Khan and others were present at the event.
