Uzirpur Model Police Station and Uzirpur Fire Service Unit recovered three cocktail bomb-like objects and two petrol bomb-like objects from Abdul Malek Molla's garden on the west side of the highway adjacent to the gate of Purba Dhamsar Sonar Bangla Secondary School on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway in Bamrail Union of Uzirpur Upazila of Barisal district.
According to local, police and fire service sources, at 2:30 pm, locals heard a loud noise and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the police and fire service arrived at the scene and recovered three objects resembling cocktails wrapped in black duct tape and two unexploded objects resembling glass bottles, a total of five bomb-like objects.
In this regard, Abdur Rashid, team leader of the Fire Service Unit, said that experts will announce whether these are bombs or not.
I found them unexploded and have deactivated them with water. Md. Touhid Karim, the investigation officer in charge of Uzirpur Model Police Station, said that the police were busy on the road due to the strike. As soon as we received the information, we reached the spot and recovered the bomb-like object through the fire service. The Bangladesh Army's Uzirpur camp has been informed about this. After they conduct the examination, we will be able to tell or be sure what the object is.

Regarding the incident, Bamrail Union Ward No. 7 BNP General Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain said that he first heard the loud noise of the petrol bomb and came out of his house next to the scene and saw other people on fire. Seeing the incident, local people informed the Uzirpur Fire Service, who arrived at the scene and recovered 3 unexploded cocktail bombs and 02 burning petrol bombs. Police and locals said that the incident was committed by unknown miscreants. After the bomb explosion and recovery, leaders of Jubo Dal, Shramik Dal and Chhatra Dal immediately held a protest procession on the Dhaka-Barisal highway. Jubo Dal joint convener Kalam Farazi, Shramik Dal leader Khokon Dakua, Jubo Dal leader Sahadut Jjaman Comrade, Uzirpur Upazila Chhatra Dal member secretary Murad Roni Howlader, Barisal District Volunteer Dal member Mohammad Shaon Sikder and others were present at the time. Former BNP president of Shikarpur Union Rafiqul Islam Mallick, Bamrail Union Ward 7 BNP general secretary Mohammad Anwar Hossain, visited the scene.
