BGB has arrested four people, including two Indian nationals, in a raid in the Satkhira border area.
On Monday (February 17) afternoon, BGB members arrested three people, including two Indian nationals, from the border Rajpur area and one person with phensidyl from the Bankal check post area.
Satkhira 33 BGB Commander Lt. Col. Ashraful Alam said that during a raid in the Rajpur border area of Kalaroa, Narayan Chandra Roy (51) of Nadia district of West Bengal and Sudhir Sarkar (57) of Kalyani district were arrested while entering India from Bangladesh. They were staying in Bangladesh without passports. In addition, during a raid in the same area, a young man named Bappa Rahman (30) was arrested with more than 100 packets of Indian Yaba while entering Bangladesh from India. Later, they were handed over to Kalaroa police station.
Meanwhile, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a raid in the Bankal check post area of Satkhira and arrested a youth named Taifur Alam with 25 bottles of phensidyl and 1 bottle of liquor. He has been handed over to Satkhira Sadar Police Station.
