Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force is moving forward in the service of the people with the slogan 'Peace, order, development, security everywhere'. In continuation of this, the force's district rally was held in Sirajganj with colorful arrangements. This district rally of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force was held at the organization's district office on Monday (February 17).
The rally was chaired by Sirajganj District Commandant Chandan Debnath BVM and was addressed as the chief guest by Ashish Kumar Bhattacharya BVMS, Range Commander of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Rajshahi Range. District Commandant Chandan Debnath BVM delivered the welcome speech.
The chief guest at the rally said that Ansar members are playing a role in every field of the country. He thanked all the members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force for dealing with the fragile law and order situation after August 5 and providing security to various government and non-government institutions including important KPIs.
Speaking as a special guest at the rally, Sirajganj Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Ziaur Rahman inspired the Ansar members to always remain engaged in the service of the country. He said that after August 5, the Ansar members were engaged in the security and traffic duties of the country's police stations and provided all-round cooperation to the police force. As a result, the law and order situation did not deteriorate. For this, he expressed gratitude to Bangladesh Ansar and the Village Defense Force.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ganapati Roy also spoke as a special guest. He said that he was amazed by the way the Ansar force was providing security at every union and remote village level of the country. He also wished the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force further success.
Sirajganj Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Nurul Amin said in his speech that the Ansar force has always contributed to the health sector. He highlighted various contributions, especially during the Corona pandemic, including lockdown, quarantine, discipline at vaccination centers, and discipline at hospitals.
Dr. Lutfar Rahman BVMS, Director of Ansar and Village Defense Force, Rajshahi Range, and Md. Sohag Parvez, District Commandant of Joypurhat, were also present as special guests at the district rally.
Also present were Assistant District Commandant of the District Ansar and VDP Office Md. Mashiur Rahman Manik, Circle Adjutant Md. Sohel Rana, district officers of various departments of Sirajganj district, retired Ansar and VDP officers, Upazila Ansar and VDP officers from various upazilas, Upazila trainers, Battalion Ansar and affiliated Ansar members, Union party leaders, Ward party leaders, Ansar commanders and VDP members.
The program was presented by Chauhali Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Md. Bashir Uddin and Raiganj Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Md. Selina Akhter. At the end of the rally, various awards including bicycles, hotpots, flashlights and umbrellas were distributed among 63 Ansar and VDP members in recognition of their good work.
