Police have recovered the half-decomposed body of an unidentified young man, aged around 35, floating in a canal in Nesarabad, Pirojpur. The body was recovered floating in a canal in front of the clerk's house in the Jora Bridge area of Sutiakathi village in Nesarabad on Monday (February 17) morning.

Pirojpur Assistant Superintendent of Police (Nesarabad Circle) Sabiha Mehbooba confirmed the matter.
According to eyewitness sources, around 10:30 am, pedestrians passing by the road in front of the clerk's house in the Jora Bridge area of Sutiakathi village in Nesarabad saw the body floating in the canal while going to the market. Later, when they informed the local watchman, he called the Nesarabad police station, where the Nesarabad police reached the spot and recovered the body and took it to the police station.
Local watchman Md. Kazi Sabuj Mia said that after learning about the recovery of the body through locals around 10:30 am, the police recovered the body after informing the police station. Pirojpur Assistant Superintendent of Police (Nesarabad Circle) Sabiha Mehbooba visited the scene.
Pirojpur Assistant Superintendent of Police (Nesarabad Circle) Sabiha Mehbooba said, "The half-decayed body of an unidentified youth has been recovered. It was not possible to identify the body immediately. The body has been sent to the Pirojpur District Hospital morgue for autopsy."
