A protest rally was held at Gaibandha District BNP office on Sunday afternoon to protest against the propaganda against the convener and member secretary of the central committee of Bangladesh Weavers' Party. Gaibandha City and Sadar Upazila Weavers' Party organized the protest rally. Anisuzzaman Khan Babu, the village government affairs secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee, was the chief guest. The main speaker was the convener of the district Weavers' Party, A.S.M. Sajjad Hossain Paltan.
The protest rally, chaired by Sadar Upazila Weavers' Party convener Md. Mostafizur Rahman Khan, was addressed by District BNP Publicity Secretary Mostaq Ahmed Mostaq, Sadar Upazila Weavers' Party member secretary Yunus Ali Akand, Md. Alam Sarkar, Mokhlesur Rahman, Mostafizur Rahman Bhutto, Baiju Khan, Masud Rana, ATM Ferdous Pavel, Khoka Mia, among others. The protest rally was moderated by Touhidur Rahman Tuhin, convener of the city Weavers' Party.
The speakers strongly protested against the propaganda against Bangladesh Weavers' Union Central Committee Convener Abul Kalam Azad and Member Secretary Haji Mujibur Rahman.
