A rally of the Krishak Dal activists was held to ensure the rights of the farmers of Shivalaya in Manikganj. At the rally, the farmers pledged to establish their rights and improve their standard of living.
Two separate rallies were organized by the Farmers' Party at Falsetia in Mahadevpur Union of Shivalay Upazila on Saturday afternoon and Aricha Ghat in Shivalay Model Union at night. The farmers came together in the rallies and vowed to make concerted efforts for their demands.
District Farmers' Party President Golam Kibria Sayeed was present as the chief guest at the farmers' rally presided over by AKM Shamsul Alam Master.
Special guests were Satyen Kant Pandit Bhajan, one of the members of the Manikganj District BNP Convening Committee, Shibaloy Upazila BNP President Rahmat Ali Lavlu, General Secretary Haji Md. Mizanur Rahman Liton, District Krishak Dal General Secretary Abdus Salam Badal, Joint General Secretary Md. Abdul Barek, Md. Faridul Islam Niloy, Joint General Secretary Bepari Md. Kamal Hossain, Organizing Secretary Obaidur Rahman Pavel, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Md. Hossain Ali, Member Secretary Md. Sohel Rana, Volunteer Convener Md. Shahidul Islam, Upazila Krishak Dal leader Alamgir Hossain Badal, and other Krishak Dal leaders were present.
During this time, the speakers emphasized on increasing government support in the agricultural sector, ensuring the rights of farmers and improving their standard of living. Abdus Salam Badal, General Secretary of the District Farmers' Party, said, "Our District Farmers' Party will continuously form union committees in every upazila of Manikganj. Farmers are the real sunrise of the country's development. We are actively working to take necessary steps for their development and increase investment in the agricultural sector."
At that time, District Krishak Dal President Golam Kibria Sayeed said, "Our efforts will continue for the realization of the rights of the farmers of Manikganj like the rest of the country and for the overall development of agriculture. Together, we can ensure that the farmers get back their just rights. To that end, we, the District Krishak Dal, are working with the farmers to build the country."
Leaders and activists of Mahadevpur and Shivaloy Model Union Krishak Dal were present at the rally and they declared full support and solidarity with this initiative.
