The Dohazari Sri Sri Loknath Sebasram Geeta Sangha under the Dohazari Municipality, Chittagong District was inaugurated by Shri Deepak Kumar Palit, Honorable Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religion of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. On Friday (14 February 2025), a discussion meeting was held on this occasion under the chairmanship of Teacher Arun Kanti Dutta and moderated by Bangladesh Puja Udjawan Parishad-Dohazari Municipality Branch President Satyapad Talukder Babla at the premises of the Dohazari Hazari Bari Sri Sri Loknath Sebasram. The chief guest at the discussion meeting was Deepak Kumar Palit, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religion of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The benefactor was Shri Debraj Singh Hazari, Advisor of the Dohazari Sri Sri Loknath Sebasram, who is living in America. The main speaker was Professor Shipul Kumar Dey, Convener of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Geeta Shiksha Parishad (BAGISHIP). Banker Ujjwal Shukladash, General Secretary of Bagiship-Chittagong District Branch, was the special guest.
While delivering the chief guest's speech, Trustee Deepak Kumar Palit said, "Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the supreme word of the Supreme Lord. The knowledge of the Gita awakens the sense of humanity in people. It guides people to the path of righteousness and justice. The Gita is not a religious scripture of any particular religion. The Gita is universal."
While delivering the keynote address, Professor Shipul Kumar Dey said that the knowledge of the Gita frees us from demonic possession and elevates humanity to divinity. He called upon the new generation of students to be educated in religious and moral education along with formal education.
