Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, fascism will not be allowed to be established anew in Bangladesh. The genocide and the trial of fascists must be completed quickly. I call on the government to identify fascism and their allies inside and outside the government and bring them under the law quickly. Everyone must unite for the sake of the country. The people of the country want Allah's law and honest and just leadership.
He made these remarks while addressing the chief guest at a huge public gathering organized by the Jamaat-e-Islami Shahjadpur Upazila branch at the Shahjadpur Government College grounds in Sirajganj on Saturday (February 15) afternoon.
Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan also said at the time, the fascist forces banned Jamaat-Shibir. Today, they have been banned by the people. Jamaat-Shibir is moving forward towards its goal by overcoming all obstacles. Sheikh Hasina, her ministers, MPs and the fascists have fled. The people of the country have got new independence, a new Bangladesh. The new Bangladesh will be built as a fascism-free Bangladesh.
Addressing Sheikh Hasina, he further said, "The hobby of giving impassioned speeches arose after fleeing. There is no possibility of Hasina and her friends returning to the country. If they have to come, they will have to come as death row convicts."
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Shahjadpur Upazila Ameer and Jamaat-nominated candidate for Sirajganj-06 (Shahzadpur) constituency in the upcoming national parliament elections, Professor Maulana Md. Mizanur Rahman, presided over the public meeting as special guests. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajganj District Branch Ameer Professor Maulana Md. Shahinur Alam, Secretary Professor Maulana Md. Zahidul Islam, Assistant Secretary General Professor Maulana Md. Shahidul Islam, Belkuchi Upazila Branch Ameer Md. Ariful Islam Sohel, Ullapara Upazila Ameer Professor Shahjahan Ali, Shahjadpur Upazila Branch Secretary Master Maulana Md. Abdul Malek, Assistant Secretary Maulana Nazrul Islam, Jubo Jamaat's Shahjadpur Upazila President Md. Abu Ishaq, and Bangladesh Ideal Teachers Federation Upazila President Assistant Professor Md. Farhad Hossain were present as special guests.
After the mass meeting, Jamaat leaders took out a huge procession from the meeting place. The procession passed through the Upazila Parishad square of the municipal area and ended at the Government Pilot Model High School ground. Jamaat-e-Islami's central, district and various upazila leaders were present in the rally.
