Bangladesh-Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBFCI) initiated the ''Sustainable Development Dialogue between Europe and Bangladesh'' Business Beyond Borders will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Rose View Hotel, Sylhet.

This evening will bring together regional business leaders, entrepreneurs and partners to explore new opportunities for cooperation and growth between Europe and Bangladesh, which will foster sustainable development in both regions.
The event is organized by EBFCI and sponsored by Rose View Hotel Sylhet and aims to exchange ideas on business innovation, sustainability and economic cooperation. The event will be moderated by Muhammad Ali, Executive Director, Bangladesh Country Head and Convener of EBFCI.
The evening will feature the Chief Guest, Ambassador and Head of the European Delegation to Bangladesh, Mr. Michael Miller. His speech will reflect the EU’s efforts to enhance cooperation and strengthen economic ties with Bangladesh. The EU Delegation to Bangladesh expressed its recognition and support for the efforts of the EBFCI in promoting business growth and sustainable development.
About EBFCI Established in 2008, the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBFCI) is a private, non-profit organization that aims to increase trade, investment and economic cooperation between Europe and Bangladesh. Led by Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin MBE-DBA JP, Founder and President of EBFCI, the organization has played a significant role in developing bilateral economic relations, providing support to both large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The membership of EBFCI extends across various European countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and Bangladesh. There are plans to expand into the Middle East and North America. The organization serves as an important link for Bangladeshi businesses to the European market and advocates for favorable trade policies to encourage European investment in Bangladesh.
Main objectives: Promote trade and industry between the EU and Bangladesh. Increase business relations between the Bangladeshi diaspora across the EU. Provide a network and resources for businesses of Bangladeshi origin or interest. Establish chambers or similar entities in the EU and other regions.
Currently, EBFCI is keen to expand its operations in Sylhet with the aim of strengthening cooperation with businesses in the region. Through this effort, EBFCI continues to play a significant role in the growth and development of the economies of Europe and Bangladesh.
