In Shibchar, Madaripur, auto van driver Md. Mizan Gazi, in the pursuit of life, went out to Shibchar Sadar on Thursday afternoon as usual. After that, even though it was night, he did not come home, his newly married wife and parents became worried. Then, even though it was late at night, he did not come home. Then, on Friday, February 7, locals found a body with its throat slit in Shibchar Thana Kadirpur. After that, the police, army and media personnel reached the spot and reported the situation. Then, the body of Mizan Gazi's family came to their attention. Then, Mizan Gazi's family identified Mizan Gazi's body at the scene.

Meanwhile, a police investigation team from Shibchar Police Station has started investigating the case after a murder case was registered in the murder and disappearance of Mizan Gazi (20).
The investigation into the case began under the direct supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Jahangir Alam, led by Shibchar Circle ASP Md. Ajmir Hossain and Shibchar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ratan Sheikh.
Then, with the help of information technology and after reviewing CCTV footage, Md. Hannan Sikder (26), son of Md. Humayun Sikder of Shibchar Police Station, Shikder Hat area of Madaripur, was arrested on February 9 in connection with the incident.
Hannan is a bricklayer by profession. When he is addicted to drugs and needs money urgently, he targets Mizan Gazi, an auto van driver in the same area.
At the instigation of the other accused, Hannan, with the help of others, brutally murdered van driver Mizan Gazi for just two thousand taka.
On the day of the incident, February 6, after 6 pm, Hannan and other accused took Mizan Gazi to the scene in an auto van rented for 500 taka.
At a place called Manik Pur More in Kadirpur Union of Shibchar Police Station, next to a brick kiln, Samad Mridha was first slapped and beaten by four people. Then, the accused started slashing Mizan with a sharp knife they had with them.
At one point, when Mizan fell to the ground, accused Hannan Sikder stabbed him in the neck.
After confirming Mizan Gazi's death, the accused left the scene with Mizan's mobile phone, cash, and his rented auto van.
The four of them came to Shibchar Upazila town and divided the money. The arrested accused Hannan Sikder received 500 taka in cash and the victim's mobile phone. Later, they decided to sell the auto van and divide the money. Then everyone went to their respective homes. Hannan Sikder, fearing the police, threw the victim's mobile phone in the corn field. Later, according to the confession of the accused, the victim Mizan's mobile phone was recovered from the corn field as he showed it.
When accused Hannan Sikder was produced before the learned court on February 10, accused Hannan confessed to the learned judge about his involvement in the incident and gave his statement in accordance with Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
In this regard, Madaripur Police Superintendent (Circle) Shibchar Md. Ajmir Hossain held a press briefing with journalists at Shibchar Police Station and revealed the information revealed about the murder. Shibchar Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Md. Ratan Sheikh was present at the time.
