A man named Firoz Hossain died after being electrocuted while irrigating a fish pond in Satkhira. A fish pond farmer named Firoz Hossain (32) died after being electrocuted while irrigating a fish pond in the Kukhrali area of Satkhira municipality.
The incident took place on Saturday (February 15) morning. The deceased was identified as Firoz Hossain, son of Abul Khair, of Par Kukhrali Dakshin Para area of Ward No. 5 of Satkhira Municipality.
Some residents of the Kukhrali area said that Firoz Hossain was cultivating fish in a fish pond in the Kukhrali area. He switched on the motor to water the land in the pond. At that time, he inadvertently touched a leaking electric wire and died on the spot after being electrocuted. Later, locals brought his body home.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station OC Shaminul Haque said he had heard about the matter.
