Pirgachha (Rangpur) Representative-
A human chain was formed to protest the insult to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the sudden terrorist attack on the local people by the anti-Islamic organization Hizbut Tawheed. The human chain was held in the presence of thousands of people at Dewati Bazar of Parul Union of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon. Earlier, the protesters took out a protest procession carrying various placards, festoons and banners, and circled various roads of the union.
They made two demands: Within the next 48 hours, the Hizb-ut-Tawhid terrorists who attacked the locals indiscriminately must be brought under the law. If this is not done, the movement will be further strengthened. The anti-Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tawhid must be banned.
At this time, the excited crowd chanted various slogans. The black hand of Hizbut Tawheed, break it, break it. Your leader is my leader, the Prophet Mustafa. Everyone is the army of the Messenger of Allah, don't be afraid of bullets and bombs. One, two, three, four - Hizbut Tawheed, leave Bengal!
Abdullah Al Saeed Shamim said, "Hizbut Tawhid is taking Islam to a dirty place. They do not accept many things in the Quran and Hadith."
Moktar Hossain said, "An organization called Hizbut Tawheed has irrationally attacked our brothers. They are all seriously ill and are in the medical center. We demand that they be banned and arrested within 48 hours." In addition, Nurul Amin, Abbas Ali, Mizanur Rahman and many others made strong speeches.
Pirgachha Police Station OC Nur Alam Siddiqui said that Mizanur Rahman filed a case in this incident, naming 39 people as the plaintiff and 300 unknown accused. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
It is worth mentioning that around 8 am on Monday, 50 Hizb ut-Tawhid activists were holding a secret meeting in the Nagdah Sidam area of Parul Union of the upazila. When the locals got the news of the meeting, they went there and stopped it, which led to tension between the two parties. At one stage, a clash broke out. Fifteen people were injured in the clash. Four of them have been admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
